TOURISTIC INFORMATION ABOUT CHILE

Chile, with a population of 16 million (annual growth rate 1.2%), is one of Latin America’s most dynamic countries in terms of professional activities and tourism. With free trade agreements signed with USA, China, Australia, the European Community, Korea, Japan, among others, Chile represents a strategic location to visit in Latin America. The country also enjoys some of the world’s most breathtaking landscapes, many of them still untouched by humans. This is a geography of dramatic contrasts that includes deserts, icebergs and a gentle Mediterranean climate, always in view of the snow-capped peaks of the Andes Mountain Range and never too distant from a breathtaking Pacific Ocean.

Chile allows the development of ecotourism, adventure tourism, astronomical tourism, ethno-tourism, rural tourism and cultural tourism.

The geography and culture of Chile, with distinctive characteristics, can also provide a natural environment tailored to each visitor and their personal tastes. Chile offers a wide variety of contrasting landscapes, the main reference areas being the North and Patagonia.

It is also possible to enjoy sun and sea tourism along the vast Chilean coastline which offers complete hotel infrastructure suitable for all budgets.
